The object of the tendered service is to advise and support the AI Competence Center of the AG in the context of the testing, evaluation and prototypical development of software systems with a focus on AI for use in the field of official administrative activities. The AI Competence Center (KI-KC) was established within Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH in the field of research and development (innovations). The primary objective of the KI-KC is to prove AI applications in the regulatory context by means of proof-of-concept (PoC). To this end, the opportunities and potentials of AI and ML applications in the federal administration are identified, developed and tested in order to position them in a user-friendly manner in the activities of federal authorities. The potentials mean that the relevant main activities of the official administrations will be further improved through comprehensive requirements analyses and the transfer of innovations in the field of AI, ML, data analytics, and natural language processing (NLP). This is done on the basis of concrete AI solution models with user-centered concepts and prototypes in order to generate and strengthen innovative relieving solutions for changing challenges. In addition, the aim is to design knowledge transfer for the circle of users and users in order to ensure the sustainable handling of AI solutions from research, development and piloting.
