Description:
Groundwater remediation services needed for the Nathan Hale Depot including review and evaluation of existing documents, preparation of work and safety plans, construction supervision, laboratory analysis, surveying work, and coordination with involved parties.

Groundwater remediation is carried out by extraction, purification (P&T) and subsequent refiltration of the groundwater at the upstream boundary of the damage area. On the one hand, this is intended to remove pollutant mass from the area of the secondary source and, on the other hand, to stimulate the natural degradation of pollutants. Depending on the results of the first year of operation, nitrate may be added to the refiltered water. In the first year of operation, the extent to which the availability of electron acceptors in areas where currently low nitrate concentrations (< 5 mg/l) are currently present will be improved by groundwater extraction and pure filtration of the purified water alone. Extraction and pure filtration from 1.25 l/s to max. 2.0 l/s is planned. The groundwater purification plant consists of the following components: storage tank, pre-treatment + sand filter and activated carbon purification plant
