Leibniz Universität Hannover ( LUH) is planning the realisation of a highly installed laboratory building for interdisciplinary research with a focus on optical technologies on a plot of land measuring around 1,7,000 m2 in Hanover-Marienwerder, combined with interdisciplinary research and development in the disciplines of physics, mechanical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer science and mathematics. The new research building stands as an independent structure with an amorphous design and 4 upper floors on the newly developed Marienwerder research campus. The building does not have a basement, but is partially integrated into a mound landscape on the ground floor.
