The Medical University of Lausitz - Carl Thiem KöR intends to procure hardware components for university digitization. The Medical University of Lusatia - Carl Thiem (MUL-CT) was founded on 01 July 2024. With its content concepts, it consistently pursues the goal of using the opportunities of digitization in order to shape the education of students, research with a focus on "health system development" and "digitalization" at the highest level, patient care and networking in the health region of Lusatia, and to set the course in competition with the other medical faculties and to be a place where the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) is tested and evaluated as a model. With this call for proposals, MUL-CT intends to improve the strengthening of digital resilience at Brandenburg's universities, which urgently need to be kept available for the planned start of studies in the winter semester 2026/27, especially in the focus areas of digitally supported teaching, support for scientists in obtaining literature and in the area of using AI for self-determined learning. The aim is to expand the technical equipment in the hardware and software areas in such a way that it strengthens the existing scientific expertise at MUL-CT and enables the newly appointed professors to implement their scientific plans at MUL-CT without loss of time. The requirements can be found in Appendix 1.
