Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny im. Stefana Kardynała Wyszyńskiego Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej has published a contract notice for IT Systems Expansion for Healthcare, seeking to integrate its existing applications with an Intelligent Services Platform, implement an Infinitt PACS system, deploy AI tools to digitise medical documentation and train users on the new set-up. The move shows how hospital procurements are now binding imaging, records and analytics into single, platform-centred projects.

AI, imaging and documentation in one contract

Published on 5th March 2026, the notice brings several strands of digital work together in one package. At its core is the expansion of hospital IT systems so they can integrate with an Intelligent Services Platform, a theme that now runs through many healthcare tenders.

The hospital highlights four main elements:

  • analytical work related to integration with the Intelligent Services Platform
  • implementation of the Infinitt PACS system
  • deployment of AI solutions for digitising medical documentation
  • training for end-users

This scope goes beyond a straightforward software upgrade. The inclusion of analytical work suggests the contract covers preparatory tasks as well as deployment. The focus on user training signals that the hospital expects changes in day-to-day practice, not just in back-end systems.

By combining imaging (through a PACS implementation), documentation (via AI-supported digitisation) and platform connectivity in one contract, the hospital is reshaping how these domains are procured. For suppliers, it brings together radiology systems, document management, integration and change support in a single procurement.

Connecting hospitals to the Intelligent Services Platform

The hospital’s focus on integrating with an Intelligent Services Platform, often described as PUI in Polish notices, mirrors a clear pattern across recent procurements. In November 2025, Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej Szpital im. dr. J.Dietla w Krynicy-Zdroju launched a Hospital IT System Modernization project to modernise domain systems for data integration with the same platform, using AI to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic processes.

Imaging upgrades are being shaped by the platform as well. In December 2025, Samodzielny Szpital Wojewódzki im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Piotrkowie Trybunalskim used its RIS/PACS System Expansion notice to require an interface between PACS/RIS and the Intelligent Services Platform, while Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej w Łapach combined PACS–PUI integration, RIS/PACS expansion with AI modules, server purchase and technical support in a single PACS System Integration and Support contract.

More recent tenders are broader. Wojewódzki Szpital Zespolony im. Stanisława Rybickiego w Skierniewicach and “PODDĘBICKIE CENTRUM ZDROWIA” SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ have both issued notices to expand IT systems, digitise documentation and integrate with the Intelligent Services Platform, with cybersecurity and long-term support built in. On 23rd January 2026, Szpital Czerniakowski sp. z o.o. went further in its PACS/RIS System Upgrade and Equipment Delivery notice, combining PACS/RIS upgrades, platform integration and diagnostic equipment as part of a national healthcare digital transformation initiative.

The integration work is now highly specific. On 2nd March 2026, Szpital Powiatowy w Zawierciu issued an Integration Service for Radiology AI notice seeking integration and data exchange with the Intelligent Services Platform developed by the National e-Health Centre to enhance its radiology system. Together, these procurements point to an environment where hospital systems are expected to plug into shared platforms as a matter of course.

Diagnostic AI moves into mainstream procurements

The new notice also shows how AI is now embedded in hospital tenders. Here, AI solutions are required specifically for digitising medical documentation, making automation part of how the hospital will create and manage electronic records.

Radiology is another focus. In October 2025, SZPITAL PRASKI P.W. PRZEMIENIENIA PAŃSKIEGO SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ called in its Replacement of RIS and PACS Systems notice for PACS servers with AI capabilities, fully integrated with the hospital system and enabling remote examination review and reporting. The SP ZOZ in Łapy followed in December 2025 with a PACS System Integration and Support contract that expands the RIS/PACS system with AI modules.

In February 2026, Samodzielny Publiczny Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Brzesku added more advanced imaging to the mix. Its Healthcare IT Systems Expansion notice aims to modernise PACS, add modules for 3D reconstruction and e-consultations, and secure a perpetual licence plus 36 months of support, while meeting environmental and equal opportunity requirements.

AI is also starting to feature beyond imaging. The Krynica-Zdrój modernisation project explicitly refers to using AI to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic processes. Wojewódzki Szpital Zespolony w Kielcach, in a Hospital Information System Expansion notice dated 24th February 2026, plans to implement AI solutions alongside integration with the P1 system to raise digital maturity and cybersecurity. Kutnowski Szpital Samorządowy Sp. z o.o. and Okręgowy Szpital Kolejowy w Katowicach-s.p.z.o.z. both link AI with wider HIS expansion, documentation digitisation, cybersecurity and platform integration in their March 2026 Expansion and Cybersecurity for Hospital and AI Solutions for Hospital Integration notices.

Across these projects, AI is no longer treated as a side project or pilot. It appears in core requirements for imaging, documentation and security, closely tied to connectivity with the Intelligent Services Platform and related systems.

Hardware, licences and long-term support

The Wyszyński specialist hospital’s notice includes not only software implementation and AI deployment but also analytical work and user training. That mix reflects a broader shift in which hospitals use single procurements to cover planning, infrastructure and support as well as applications.

On 11th February 2026, Samodzielny Publiczny Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny w Chełmie issued an IT System Integration and Expansion notice that combines integration and expansion of IT systems with modernisation, regulatory compliance and the purchase of ICT equipment and database licences. Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Oleśnie took a similar approach in January 2026, using its Healthcare Information Systems Implementation tender to buy and implement modules for hospital information systems and archiving and image communication systems, expand electronic medical documentation and secure service maintenance and server infrastructure configuration.

Children’s services are also included in this wave. Wojewódzki Szpital Dziecięcy im. J. Brudzińskiego w Bydgoszczy set out, in an IT Systems Integration and Expansion notice dated 27th January 2026, plans to expand IT systems and digitise medical documentation through delivery and implementation of servers, storage, a new RIS PACS system, tablets and a document digitisation system.

Other projects show how strongly hospitals now emphasise migration and support. Szpital Ogólny w Wysokiem Mazowieckiem’s Hospital Information System Modernization notice bundles modernisation and expansion of hospital and laboratory information systems, PACS integration, data migration, training and technical support. The Brzesko PACS project adds installation, configuration, a perpetual licence and 36 months of support, while Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej w Bielsku Podlaskim’s IT Systems Expansion Services contract focuses on expanding and maintaining IT systems, supporting existing software and implementing new functionalities. Wojewódzki Szpital Podkarpacki im. Jana Pawła II w Krośnie goes further in its Digital Transformation Project for Hospital, combining system integration and expansion, documentation digitisation, enhanced cybersecurity and new IT equipment.

  • integration between PACS/RIS, hospital information systems and platforms such as the Intelligent Services Platform and P1
  • digitisation of medical documentation, often with AI support
  • investment in servers, storage, end-user devices and network infrastructure
  • strong emphasis on cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and, in some cases, environmental and equal opportunity requirements
  • bundled services for data migration, training and multi-year technical support

Outlook

The Wyszyński specialist hospital’s IT Systems Expansion for Healthcare notice fits neatly into a push to connect hospitals to shared digital platforms, refresh imaging infrastructure and digitise records with AI support. It adds another specialist institution to the growing list of providers that are reworking their core systems around the Intelligent Services Platform.

For the procurement community, upcoming notices will show how far this model spreads to other care settings and how requirements evolve around interoperability, cybersecurity and long-term support. For now, the message from this and similar tenders is clear: new hospital IT investments are expected to connect to shared platforms, make use of AI and support a fully digital medical record.
