The purpose of this public European tender is to conclude a framework agreement with one contractor for the supply of equipment for the compute and storage infrastructure of SURFsara, SURFnet and Nikhef. This concerns active components for compute equipment and data storage systems (plus any interconnection equipment required in conjunction). Where applicable including necessary licenses, (operating) software and associated maintenance. SURFsara acts as secretary for this tender. The framework agreement to be concluded will have an initial term of two years, with the option of extending the agreement twice by one year. The reason that SURFsara, SURFnet and Nikhef (as clients) do this tender jointly is because the aforementioned parties are working increasingly closely together in the services to be realized for the users.

Based on historical purchases, the total size of the contract over a four-year period is estimated at approximately EUR 15 000 000.
