In 2015, Welthungerhilfe launched the Skill Up! program. This multi-country program in Kenya, Sierra Leone, Uganda, India and Tajikistan successfully supports partner organizations in the field of vocational education and training with the help of a private donation. After the end of the pilot program, the program has been continued and expanded since November 2019, supported by institutional funds from the BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). Within the framework of this program, the Nepal was included in the country portfolio.The current Skill Up! program in these 6 countries is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and runs from 11.2019 - 02.2024. A follow-up phase is currently being planned and will also be funded by the BMZ with a duration of 05.2024 - 04.2027.
