Public Art Agency Sweden is a government agency with more than twenty employees. The activities take place throughout the country and span permanent and temporary art projects in public environments to art collections for government agencies, program activities and mediation, as well as care and management of state public art. Government agencies can apply for art collections for buildings and environments with government activities. By order of Public Art Agency Sweden, these art applications are carried out by procured art consultants, who are the subject of this procurement. As an art consultant, you have a background as an artist, art historian, curator or architect with several years of documented experience of placing and curating art in various public environments and activities. The assignment covers a contract period of four (4) years, approximately January 2024 – January 2028. As an art consultant, you have the main responsibility for implementing art collections and purchases in some of Sweden's 21 regions.

Agreement Term

The art consultants admitted after the procurement has been completed undertake to perform services within the assignment during a contract period of four (4) years, approximately January 2024 – January 2028.

Subject of procurement

Through the Public Art Agency Sweden, government agencies can apply for art collections for buildings and environments with government activities. Approximately 70 art collections are thus produced annually in connection with authorities changing or changing premises and activities. By order of Public Art Agency Sweden, these art applications are carried out by procured art consultants, who are the subject of this procurement. The art consultants are 5-7 people in total. As an art consultant, you have the main responsibility for implementing art collections and purchases in some of Sweden's 21 regions. The assignment as an art consultant requires close contacts with the office in Stockholm, work at the art warehouse in Tumba and travel to government agencies in the regions to which the tender relates, but also travel to authorities in other parts of Sweden and in some cases also travel to Sweden's embassies abroad. You are awarded art applications after the Public Art Agency Sweden's decision meetings, which take place about 4 times a year.

Contract value/year: approx. SEK 2.0 million in total for all art consultants.
