The European Commission has recently launched the Missions for Growth scheme. These Missions have originated in the industrial policy field of DG Enterprise and Industry. They are designed as an active contribution by the Commission to bring back growth and competitiveness to European industry by improving access to third country markets. The Missions for Growth also seek to boost the internationalisation of European businesses, in particular SMEs, and to deepen bilateral ties with third countries. In the same spirit and complementary to the Missions for Growth in third countries, the European Commission would like to fully exploit the major event of Milan EXPO 2015 (to be held from 1.5.2015 to 31.10.2015) to organise several bilateral events between the EU and a number of third countries (or group of third countries). The purpose of this call is to acquire services from a consortium of Member State national organisations/institutions involved in trade promotion in order to support the internationalisation of businesses, in particular SMEs, through the organisation of the abovementioned bilateral events, in particular their business-to-business component, during EXPO Milan 2015.
