Due to the hillside situation, the building has a partial basement. The foundation of the hall, which has no basement, is stepped from the basement level.

The basement serves school purposes (lessons, after-school care) and also consists of exposed concrete walls and interior walls in cross-laminated timber construction.

The parts that come into contact with the earth must be properly insulated and provided with perimeter insulation.

The wall between the staircase and the non-basement part of the sports hall is designed as a white bathtub.
