Framework agreement video interpreting Hessian police.

The “video interpreting” service is intended to create a communication bridge between police personnel and foreign-language persons within a short time window without having to resort to a face-to-face interpreter. Communication takes the form of consecutive interpreting via audio and video transmission. The interpreter is added via the video system (end-to-end connections). The content of the conversation is transmitted remotely. No image or sound data is recorded or stored by the conversation — even in part.

Translation services are retrieved both terminated and ad hoc. The translation service must be provided by the contractor around the clock from Monday to Sunday (24/7/365).

The unforeseeable police operations cannot be fully predicted for which languages and to what extent of time interpreting services are required. The most frequently requested languages so far are:

2. Amharic,

3. Arabic,

4th Dari,

5. Farsi,

6. Kosovo-Albanian

7. Croatian,

8. Kurdish,

9th Macedonian,

10th Panjabi

11. Pashto,

12. Russian,

13. Serbian,

14. Somali

15. Tigrinya,

16. Turkish,

17. Urdu.

Languages Nos 1 to 17 are the minimum languages to be offered.

In some cases, languages such as Armenian, Chinese, English, French, Oromo, Chechen and Vietnamese have also appeared so far, which should be available by prior appointment. This is also expected for rare dialects such as Romani. It can also be ruled out that additional languages are sometimes needed.

The framework agreement is concluded with a surcharge (ahead. 1.2.2022). The contract period is 48 months.

Estimated order volume:

The total volume per year therefore amounts to an estimated 45,200 minutes.

On average, the expected volume of calls is around 54 minutes per device per month.

74 mobile devices are currently in use at the client.

The client reserves the right to expand or reduce the number of locations of use during the contract period with a lead time of one month as required. The volume of calls can vary depending on police operations and must only be assessed or controlled by the client to a limited extent.

The parties agree on a trial period of 6 months. Each party may terminate the contractual relationship with a period of 2 weeks within the probation period.
