The aim of project controlling is to ensure the professional, timely and cost-effective implementation of the planned or already being implemented renovation, security and recultivation measures and, if necessary, the preparation of subsequent use in compliance with legal and official requirements and the existing contractual agreements.

Tasks of the project controller are, among others (in each case including reporting to the AG):.

- the monitoring of all measures covered by the exemption to avert danger or to remove obstacles to settlement on the ÖGP areas, in strict compliance with the principle of proportionality,

- the comprehensive technical and expert support of the LAF in all issues relevant to contaminated sites, soil protection law, waste law and water law as well as in the implementation of the exemption agreement,

- the coordination of the project participants in coordination with the LAF,

- participation in the updating of the project goals, their implementation in specifications for action/cost/schedule planning as well as the control of corresponding specifications,

- the monitoring of procedures for the award (if necessary extension) of contracts (including the examination and evaluation of submitted applications for approval of measures and release of funds, procurement and contract documents as well as procurement proposals),

- the technical support of the LAF in the evaluation of the services provided by the respective measure provider (including the monitoring of service acceptances and the examination of the submitted invoices for factual and arithmetical correctness as well as refinanceability) and

- the technical support of the LAF in its function as the competent soil protection authority as well as in the monitoring of approval procedures.

Places of provision of services are

- the registered office of the AG (Magdeburg),

- the administrative seat of MDVV mbH (Bitterfeld-Wolfen),

- the project area ÖGP Leuna and

- the offices of the participating specialist and supervisory authorities of the Land of Saxony-Anhalt.
