The Consumer Council has approx. 140 employees, divided between the main office and 10 regional offices located in different places in Norway, with region Oslo being in the same building as the main office in Nydalen in Oslo.
The Consumer Council shall procure a complete system for WAN (Wide Area Networks) communication services. As a minimum, the system shall including the following:
— scalable and secure MPLS, IPVPN or another equivalent service between all the Consumer Council’s premises,
— supplier owned equipment in the form of slots, cables, access points and everything else required so that the WAN connection shall be fully functional. All equipment within the routers and inside the Consumer Council’s premises is to be owned and operated by the Consumer Council,
— stable, robust and scalable Internet access for all users, through joint Internet access,
— secure access to the Consumer Council’s network for authorised external users,
— security services for Internet access – including:
—— firewall - provision & management,
—— secure web access,
—— DNS (Domain Name Services) - both "forward & reverse zone management" (excluding internal DNS),
— all relevant services within management, monitoring and reporting,
— QoS (Quality of Service), i.e. prioriting the packages we define as important,
— other security services, such as e.g. IDP (Intrusion Detection Prevention),
— we shall be able to decide which slots shall be open,
— permanent contact person for all enquiries about the communication services,
— more specified requirements will be in the specifications.
The contract shall ensure quality and service as well as the prices and terms being in accordance with the awarding authority’s needs and expectations.
