There is a requirement for external waste processing to be carried out when incoming waste tonnages exceeds the available processing capacity of the MRF. We will be guaranteeing a minimum of 120 tonnes per week to the successful supplier. However, this could increase at peak times, for example, during the Christmas period in excess of 200 tonnes per week.

In addition to the requirement above, as part of the suppliers submission, the Council requests a full contingency solution in the event of an unexpected stoppage or closure of the Facility. The solution must have the capacity to process between 700 - 800 tonnes per week of Dry Mixed Recyclables.
