The subject of the tender is the acquisition of SWD AG's Smart Meter Gateway Administrator/SMGWA and Metering Data Management/MDM processes as business process outsourcing/BPO for the next 3 years with two extension options for a further 2 years each. Optionally, the telecommunications connection of the smart meter gateways will also be offered. Another aspect, which should also be taken into account in the offer, is that SWD AG would like to keep open the transfer of the MDM processes into its own robotron environment after the initial contract period of 3 years.

The service provider must take over and carry out the services in the form of business process outsourcing, as well as ensure flawless communication by means of market communication standards and interfaces specified by the client. According to the current status, the annual rollout volume is approx. 4,200 intelligent measuring systems per year. According to current estimates, the total number of smart metering systems that will be managed until the end of the contract is approximately 35,000 iMSys. However, since this information is based on the mandatory installation cases on the current legal basis, it can be adjusted accordingly in the course of the contractual relationship. Another prerequisite for the award is certification according to BSI TR03109.
