Description:
Bids are requested for the design, installation, and maintenance of battery storage systems at Karelia University of Applied Sciences, with specific requirements for compliance and a mandatory site visit prior to submission.

The North Karelian procurement unit requests bids for the procurement of battery storage for Karelia University of Applied Sciences Ltd according to the request for proposals and its attachments for the Wärtsilä campus.

The procurement concerns a turnkey delivery, which includes the design of the battery storage, equipment, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, training, maintenance contract, and warranty.

The bidder must present in the proposal the preliminary schedule for the delivery of the battery system as an attachment. Additionally, the bidder must state the delivery time they are committing to. The delivery time is calculated from the date of signing the contract. However, the battery storage must be completed by December 31, 2026. The location where the battery storage(s) will be installed is used for teaching purposes during the project, and the battery installation must be carried out accordingly.

Before submitting a bid, the bidder must book a guided site visit to the installation locations with the contact person listed in the request for proposals. Only the bids from companies that participated in the site visit will be considered in the bidding competition. The contact person for the client is Jarno Härkönen, jarno.harkonen@karelia.fi.

The bid is binding and must be written in Finnish. The procurement process is entirely in Finnish.

Devices must comply with the directly applicable regulations of the European Union, Finnish laws and regulations, and the instructions from authorities regarding construction, equipment, work and fire safety, and electrical safety, among others.
