The district of Mayen-Koblenz is the sponsor of 20 schools with a total of about 14,000 students and about 1,100 teachers. As a sponsor, the district administration of Mayen-Koblenz is planning the modernization of the existing school network. The basis of the new school network will be a well-dimensioned broadband connection for all schools, which will be provided by the district.
Based on this network, the district of Mayen-Koblenz advertises the modules described in more detail in the service description. There are basic services or basic components (B), which are made available to all schools by the district and must therefore be designed for the entire network and elective modules (W) in which the school can choose whether to use this module or service or not.
In addition to the school pedagogical network used in teaching, the administrative network of the schools is also to be renewed and integrated into the overall concept within the framework of this call for proposals. In particular, a security concept that prevents access from the school pedagogical network to the administrative network must be developed. In this service description, we refer to the school network as the entire network, which consists of both the school pedagogical network and the administrative network.
Concept, support and expansion of the school and administration network Mayen-KoblenzLot 1 includes the school pedagogical network and the administrative network including system and application support as well as the central support including inventory
