From 1 July to 5 November 2023, Gaasbeek Castle wishes to realise an artistic heritage project in the form of an exhibition, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of the castle's last owner, Marquise Arconati Visconti. For this project, Gaasbeek Castle is looking for a contractor in the cultural-artistic field who, based on the castle's house philosophy, emphasizes the importance of transdisciplinary cooperation through a number of sets/film sets/audiovisual fragments to be created within the historical sets of the castle, and in which important scenes from the life of the Marquise are evoked, as well as the creation of a soundscape, which takes into account the atmosphere and structure of the castle, and the intended effect within this heritage project. Relevant connections with today, such as 'staging' of a fictitious life, must be worked out. in order to reflect the 'construct' of the marquise, among other things through different time layers (e.g. the siege of 1388, the bombardment under Louis XIV or the time of the marquise himself), identities (e.g. marquise as a man, actor or director, ...), ... to be used interchangeably.
