The Datteln Waterways Construction Authority (WNA Datteln) (AG) is pursuing the expansion of the above-mentioned canals in the southern section of the Dortmund-Ems Canal and the Rhine-Herne Canal.

In order to enable environmentally friendly and economical inland navigation, the canal cross-section must be adapted to the control profile, among other things. In the course of the construction project, an intervention in the groundwater system cannot be ruled out. This can lead to changes in the groundwater level. As part of the preservation of evidence of the groundwater, regular readings are necessary, so that before and during the construction measures, 237 groundwater measuring points are to be read regularly and 4 groundwater measuring points are to be equipped with data loggers. Groundwater levels must be recorded and documented for a period of 3 years.

The WNA Datteln intends to record the groundwater levels at the following groundwater monitoring points (GWMSt):

In addition, 4 GWMSt are to be equipped with data loggers and read out monthly.

The following services are provided:

- The readings are to be carried out weekly, monthly or quarterly in accordance with the client's specifications.

- With the start of construction depending on the progress of construction, the reading interval of defined wells will be changed accordingly.

- The readings are for a period of 3 years.

- The measurement data must be submitted for the evaluation of the results via the program AquaInfo as a Microsoft ® Excel 2010 file at WNA Datteln. The groundwater readings are fed into the AquaInfo program by the client.

- The reading results must be submitted to the WNA both on a data carrier and as an e-mail.

- The contractor checks the functionality of the well end flaps every six months.

- Installation, configuration and readout of four data loggers at the Datteln lock.
