The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of water supply in Kaunas city. The drinking water produced at Kleboniškis water well does not meet the requirements for drinking water quality (HN 24: 2017), therefore, in order to solve the existing problem, it is planned to construct new water quality improvement facilities. The quality of drinking water prepared for supply to consumers in Kleboniškis water quality improvement facilities under construction must comply with the requirements of the Lithuanian Hygiene Standard HN 24: 2017.

Works are purchased together with design services:

1) To construct an insulated lightweight structure building of optimal dimensions and rational layout in the territory of Kleboniškis water well for installation of drinking water quality improvement equipment and installation of a second lifting pumping station;

(2) building reservoirs to meet the needs of water treatment plants, consumers and the water needed to extinguish fires;

3) to connect natural groundwater (from wells) supply lines to water treatment plants;

4) to install technological equipment for natural groundwater quality improvement with all technological pipelines and shut-off valves;

5) equipment for disinfection of prepared water with sodium hypochlorite;

6) to install II lifting water supply pumping station, selecting pumps with frequency converters of adequate capacity (the pumping station must meet the water requirements for fire fighting);

7) install full automatic control of water treatment plant technology and SCADA data transmission to dispatcher;

(8) The electrical inlet of the water treatment plant shall be brought from the existing electrical inlet on the site by installing new electrical distribution and automatic control cabinets;

9) install heating and ventilation system according to technological needs;

10) to install interior and exterior lighting around water treatment plants according to technological needs;

11) installation of security alarms and lightning protection system;

12) underground building around the water treatment plant building;

13) to install a driveway asphalt pavement and a water treatment plant service area near the water treatment plant building;

14) Fence the area with a 1.8 m high sectional fence. To install double gates and gates;

15) to establish territory protection measures;

16) to restore the damaged ground surface during the works and to perform welfare work in the construction work area.
