The SNM regularly requires translations and proofreading in various languages. The sophisticated texts to be translated come from the Marketing & Communication department and cover various topics, in particular the blog, media releases, internal communication and exhibition descriptions.
A translation service usually consists of:
a) Translation in the narrower sense (including related research work and any clarifications with the authors).
b) Review the translation.
c) Documentation with all information, in particular the search results as well as material or terminological clarifications that are necessary for quality control.
Proofreading includes improving texts in spelling, style, grammar and content. The provider presents the SNM with any suggestions for improvement. However, the texts will only be edited in consultation with the SNM.
