At the existing building complex HyFaB (Research Factory for Fuel Cell Technology - HyFaB1 and HyFaB2) in Ulm, Lise-Meitner-Str. 24, the project "Powder-Up! – Development, scale-up and production of competitive cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries" another building finger will be designed. The pilot plant planned within the project, an analysis laboratory and systems for rapid electrochemical validation are to be implemented.

The Powder-Up! - Gebäudefinger will also include the basic technical installations necessary for the further expansion of the Lise-Meitner-Straße site. The basement building accommodates the pilot plant on the ground floor (powder part) and on the first floor (precipitation part). Analytics will be housed on the second floor and electrochemistry on the third floor. The basement contains the rear connections to the existing HyFaB energy centre, the technical infrastructure required for chemical operation and a measuring room for vibration-sensitive measuring devices, which are used as part of Powder-Up! can be purchased. In the basement, the supply infrastructure for a possible third and fourth building finger is also being prepared.

Lot 1 shell includes:

- construction site equipment and scaffolding for the production of the required services

- topsoil removal and construction of excavation

- Measures for soil improvement

- laying of drainage baselines

- single and strip foundations

- floors, ceilings and external walls made of reinforced in-situ concrete

- columns, elemented external walls and roof trusses made of precast reinforced concrete elements

- reinforced concrete floors and walls outside

- load-bearing inner walls made of reinforced concrete, partly as FT hollow walls

- precast concrete stairs

- Intermediate and final cleaning: cleaning of all surfaces and fixtures indoors and outdoors

Lot 10 includes:

- outdoor wastewater systems

- roads and roads

- fencing

- production of green areas

- outdoor plantings

- paving work

- bicycle parking

Lot 2 includes the laying of basic lines and inlays

Lot 3 includes:

- thermal insulation

- waterproofing of roof coverings with extensive greening

- Sealing between different components; horizontally and vertically

Lot 4 includes façade cladding made of ventilated sheet material or metal panels (with and without thermal insulation).

Lot 5 includes:

- grating covers

- steel railings

Lot 7 includes:

- wooden and metal interior doors

- Exterior doors made of metal

Lot 8 includes:

- indoor plaster surfaces

- walls and suspended ceilings in drywall

- cladding in drywall

- Interior and exterior painting on metal, concrete, plasterboard surfaces as well as plastered surfaces

- wall and floor tiles in sanitary areas and staircases

Lot 9 includes:

- epoxy resin floors with chip bedding

- paints in the 2-component system

- carpets
