The city of Bitburg is planning an extension of the main school building and the construction of a new sports and multi-purpose hall with outdoor facilities on the site of the South Primary School in Bitburg. A single-storey basement with storage rooms and building services is to be built under a section of the sports and multi-purpose hall.

An existing sports hall was completely dismantled in the run-up to the new construction project, including a partial basement and the connecting building between the sports hall and the main school building. The existing main school building

will be preserved.
