For many years, large investments have been made to open up the central areas of the town towards the beautiful Fannefjord. The Seafront 2 project is currently the last project in the measures for the creation of a ‘Seafront’ from Storkaia in the west to the ferry berth for E39 east of the centre of Molde.

Mittetkaia is a quay situated south of Hamnegata 35 to 45 continuing up between Hamnegata 45 and 47, northward to the bus stop. The new Mittetkai shall be situated between the row of buildings and the new quay in the Seafront 2 project.

A turnkey contract in accordance with NS 8407 for the construction of the new Mittetkai on top of the existing quay, founded on piles in rock.
