Description:

The main task involves carrying out routine maintenance and repair work on the radiometry instruments in the controlled area. This concerns contamination-measuring apparatus, which is used to determine and check alpha emitters and to comply with the appropriate contamination limits of the Radiation Protection Regulation (Strahlenschutzverordnung – StrlSchV) (the apparatus comprises, for example, escaping-air and circulating-air monitoring facilities, low-level measuring stations in the ITU radiation measuring laboratory, hand and footwear monitors, whole-body monitors, laboratory contamination monitors and a laundry monitor). In addition, all fixed dose rate meters for monitoring dose limits and detecting the spread of radioactive substances plus any other radiation meters must be repaired accordingly.



The contract will run for 12 months initially and may be renewed for 3 further 12-month periods, giving a maximum contract term of 4 years.
