The municipality has about 46,000 inhabitants and about 10,000 children and students in school activities.

The quality work linked to the pedagogical work in schools and care is continuously developed in order to provide clarity and knowledge for the activities and decision-makers. Ongoing analysis of key figures and indicators is important in this work. Therefore, accessibility to information in the school platform is very important, in combination with a developed way of working. The municipality is happy to seek dialogue in collaboration with suppliers in order to jointly develop the municipality's working methods.

By focusing on Smarter Värmdö, the municipality is driving development towards increasing service and at the same time streamlining operations. Digitalisation is one of several tools that contribute to the work.

Värmdö municipality's preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school and adult education consist of:

·       39 preschools were out of 12 run under other management

·       19 compulsory schools were out of 5 run under other management

·       2 upper secondary school where Värmdö gymnasium is located at Gullmarsplan.

·       There are 2 independent upper secondary schools within the municipality
