We will be awarding 2 contracts for the contact growing, chemical treatment (if required) and supply of 2 000 000 bare-root improved QSS conifer transplants to the Forestry Commission.
There are 2 lots to tender for within the contract
Lot 1 Contract growing, chemical treatment (if required) and supply of 1 000 000 bare-root improved QSS conifer transplants
Lot 2 Contract growing, chemical treatment (if required) and supply of 1 000 000 bare-root improved QSS conifer transplants
Each contract lot will be for the contract growing of 1 000 000 bare-root improved QSS conifer transplants.
The principal legislation that governs the supply of transplants from within Great Britain to the FC is as follows:
— The Forest Reproductive Material (Great Britain) Regulations 2002;
— The Plant Health (Forestry) Order 2005;
— The Plant Health (England) Order 2005;
— The Plant Health (Wales) Order 2005;
— The Plant Health (Scotland) Order 2005.
Prospective suppliers will be able to demonstrate compliance with all of the above legislation. If you are based in another EU Member State you should be able to provide evidence of complying with the equivalent national legislation implementing Council Directive 2000/29/EC (the EU Plant health Directive) and Council Directive 1999/105/EC (the EU Forest Reproductive Material Directive).
