The tender deals with the acquisition of emergency and maintenance services in relation to a nationwide network infrastructure. The network infrastructure is primarily based on fiber cables, but also copper cables as well as network equipment from several different manufacturers, including Cisco and Nokia. The supplier must be able to rectify errors 24/7 onsite throughout Denmark.

I. Background and purpose

Banedanmark is an agency under the Ministry of Transport with approximately 2500 employees, who are responsible for maintaining, renewing and expanding the railway so that it has a condition and capacity that makes it suitable to run trains in Denmark. Today, Banedanmark's IT systems are divided into railway technical IT systems and administrative IT systems.

The tendered contract concerns services related to the railway-technical IT systems and includes the transition, readiness and maintenance of a nationwide network infrastructure, which is primarily based on fiber cables, but also copper cables as well as network equipment from several different manufacturers, including Cisco and Nokia. In addition, the supplier must provide other services, including ordering services and transition out.

Equipment is purchased through SKI's framework agreements, and this is not part of the tender. Operation of the logical network, which is located on top of the physical network, is offered separately.

The services are provided to Banedanmark, but given the coherent nature of the railway networks, the other contracting entities will be listed under clause 100. I.1) (associated parties) - via Banedanmark - also purchase services covered by the Contract. Banedanmark will be the contract holder and will thus in this context purchase the services under the Contract on behalf of the other contracting entities specified in clause I.1).

II. Nuværende setup

• Banedanmark's fibre infrastructure is mainly established along the railway tracks. The total amount of optical fiber cable installed is about 4800 km. The infrastructure includes approximately 2300 cable wells that provide access to discord sleeves for repairing, maintaining, and reconfiguring the physical network.

• There are still a large number of old copper lines in operation in Banedanmark's network.

• The physical network equipment consists of equipment from manufacturers such as Cisco, Nokia, Ribbon/ECI, Ericsson, Fortigate and is located in buildings, cabins and cabinets mainly along the railway tracks throughout the country. The infrastructure includes more than 2000 network devices

• The network also consists of smaller UPS plants

Ad main virtue A):

The Supplier must carry out Transition Ind, including carrying out the activities in the transition that enable the Supplier to take over responsibility for the delivery of the services covered by the Contract, which includes, among other things, knowledge transfer as well as setting up cooperation organization and processes.

Ad main virtue B):

The supplier shall provide emergency services in the following categories:

1. Emergency response that Banedanmark can activate in case of failure of the network infrastructure, including cable breakage or faulty hardware. The supplier must be able to rectify errors 24/7 onsite throughout Denmark,

2. Handling of tort cases, including repair of damage and vandalism on the physical network,

3. Warehouse handling, including storage of equipment and materials for fault rectification.

Ad hovedydelse C):

The supplier shall provide maintenance services in the following categories:

1. Maintenance, which consists of regular review of network equipment, UPS systems and fiber wells to proactively identify and remediate conditions that may develop into failures in the longer term.

In addition, under the Contract there will be an opportunity to purchase consulting services.
