Located in the Zac Etoile, in a district undergoing urban change, this emblematic school of the city is destined to transform itself in order to increase its capacity, improve learning conditions and meet energy and climate challenges. The preliminary technical diagnoses and programmatic feasibility highlighted the great technical and operational complexity of carrying out the work on an occupied site. The new school will have 5 nursery classes, 7 elementary classes and a building dedicated to extracurricular care. The existing school restaurant is preserved and reinforced in its use, including during the execution of the works. In order to meet the technical and architectural challenges of this renovation, the client wanted to move towards a design-build market.
