Delivery and implementation of a load-load management system for the depot of Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH.
Mainzer Mobilität (MVG), a subsidiary of Mainzer Stadtwerke (MSW), is the operator of public transport with buses and trams as well as a bicycle rental system in Mainz and the surrounding area. MVG is owned by the City of Mainz via Mainzer Stadtwerke AG (MSW). MVG currently operates 139 buses, 41 trams and around 1,200 rental bicycles. This means that around 185,000 passengers were moved or transported on a school working day in 2019 and more than 56 million customers in 2019 as a whole.
By 2035, it is the declared goal of the Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft to use a total of 100 electric buses in regular service. The first battery-electric articulated buses have been in regular service at MVG since the end of 2022.
Along with this, a holistic electromobility and operating concept will be developed and the required charging infrastructure procured.
It is also planned to reduce the downtime of the vehicles and to significantly increase the mileage of the electric buses through intelligent use.
Where:
- optimal recharging and recording of charge states (charging management),
- recharging at cost-effective times and taking into account optimal use of the electricity grid (load management), and
- automatic conditioning depending on weather conditions, which has a positive influence on the battery range (optimal temperature of the battery)
Implement.
