The contracting authority (in Bw) is the result of the merger on 1 January 2018 of the IBW and the IECBW.

A supplementary pension scheme to the IBW basic scheme for managers has been in existence since 1 January 2004. This is a defined contribution type plan managed in branch 21 according to the technique of successive single premiums. The contracting authority (in Bw) has decided to close this plan on 30/06/2023 and to propose to IBW executives to remain in their closed plan or to pass for their future contributions to a new plan. This new plan starts on 1/7/2023, provides for the same contributions, but these will be managed in the future in a branch 23 group insurance contract. In addition, executives from the IECBW will have the opportunity to join the pension plan in Branch 23. For these new members, a one-off catch-up bonus for the years 2021 and 2022 will be paid. From 01/07/2023, the new senior employees will automatically integrate the new plan.
