The equipment will mainly be used for secondary education, for use by students and for the employees of the contracting authority. Other IT components such as servers, software, printers, routers, switches, digital boards and telephony are not part of the tender. IT (workplace) management also falls outside the scope of this tender.

C. Objective

The contracting authority regularly purchases IT resources, both for its employees and for students. This concerns, for example, PCs, laptops and tablets. The current IT resources are usually replaced periodically in batches. It has been decided to enter into a framework agreement with several parties for the delivery of ICT hardware in order to properly organize the purchasing of this product group in one go and to comply with the applicable laws and regulations.

A framework agreement with 1 plot has been chosen:

Because, in the opinion of the Contracting Authority, a large number of suppliers are able and equipped to supply all required hardware.

Because this makes the tender more interesting for these suppliers.

Because it is not yet known in detail what will be purchased in the coming years, so that the market will not be unnecessarily burdened with work (for a possibly very small parcel).

D. Scope, change and purchase obligation of the contract

Below is an estimate of the expected size for the coming 4 years:

PCs / Laptops: EUR 790,000

Monitors: EUR 48,000

Tablet: EUR 15,000

Mini PCs: EUR 8,500

An amount of approximately EUR 861 500 will be spent in the next 4 years on IT hardware resources.

With this estimate, the Contracting Authority wants to give Candidates the best possible picture of the scope of the Contract. No rights can be derived from this estimate. Due to the changing market, the Contracting Authority cannot provide a specification of what will be purchased.

The current size of the managed front-end IT systems at the Contracting Authority is roughly as follows:

Approximately 1 700 PCs and laptops in use.

Approximately 60 tablets in use

First order

The Client intends to take the first order from the party that finished first. The first order must be delivered before the start of the summer holiday, 13 July. The estimated first order covers:

- PCs: 167

- Laptops: 102

- Monitors: 118

- Tablets: 14

- Mini PCs: 13

No rights can be derived from the above mentioned numbers. The client has stated the numbers in good conscience, adjustments in the specified numbers do not release the supplier from the obligation to deliver under agreed conditions.

In the price sheet, the contracting authority assumes indicative numbers.
