Under the Social Support Act 2015, municipalities are obliged to support their clients in the field of self-reliance and participation. This concerns, among other things, that people with disabilities can continue to move and live in their own living environment for as long and as well as possible. As part of this, municipalities will assist the relevant client if necessary in obtaining a suitable aid. With the aim that the relevant limitations can be reduced / removed and with which the self-reliance or participation will be increased.
The current Framework Agreements of the municipalities for the supply, service provision and maintenance of the Wmo aids expire on 30.3.2021. New framework agreements must be concluded for this.
All participating municipalities currently have framework agreements under which the aids are rented. As of 31.3.2021, they wish to conclude framework agreements with two suppliers per municipality for the rental of medical aids.
