Description:
Procurement for Heat Pump Unit for Helen Ltd Vuosaari Power Plant

The scope of supply is one (1) heat pump unit equipped with one or 2 turbo compressor and with minimum of 9,5 MW cooling capacity.

The scope of supply is one (1) heat pump unit equipped with one or 2 turbo compressor and with minimum of 9,5 MW cooling capacity. Refrigerant R1234ze. The heat pump must be designed with the values described below: Cooling capacity (winter) 9,5 MW, District heating water out (max) 82 oC, District heating water in 43 oC, Intermediate/evaporator circuit temperatures (winter) 24 oC /18 oC, Intermediate/evaporator circuit temperatures (summer) 8oC /3 oC, ΔTmin in district heating circuit 22 oC. The heat pump shall be designed with the possibility to use the sea water as the heat source during the time when the power plants are offline (seawater runs in its own circuit). The heat pump shall be designed with the possibility of minimum cooling capacity 9,5 MW when the outlet temperature in district heating circuit is 65 oC.

Condenser: Required heating capacity 11-15 MW. Tube material carbon steel.

Evaporator: Required cooling capacity minimum 9,5 MW. Tube material carbon steel. Maximum dimensions of the heat pump unit: 12 m x 6 m x 5 m (length x width x height). Supply voltage 6kV or 10 kV for the electric motor (will be determined in negotiations later). The control range of the heat pump shall be 30-100 %. Cooling COP minimum 3,5 and heating COP minimum 4 when district heating water out is 65 oC. Maximum allowable power supply for heat pump 3,8 MVA. The tender candidate must present references of previous deliveries similar to this procurement. The scope of supply must be fully completed with test runs done by summer 2022. The schedule will be defined more closely at the later stage of the bidding competition.

Availability of service: the supplier must be able to have an independent service at the heat pump station no later than within 48 hours after receiving a call from the client. This is essential from the standpoint of minimizing losses due to the production shutdown. The heat pump shall be designed in accordance with the EN standards and pressure equipment directive requirements. The heat pump unit in the scope of this procurement is one technical entity which cannot be divided into lots.
