The building was constructed in three phases from 1958 to 1962 as a workshop and administration building. Today the parts of the building are referred to as A1, A2 and A3 and clock museum.
The measure is intended to remedy the existing deficits with regard to fire protection, the fire alarm and intrusion alarm system in the watch museum, the lack of accessibility and the endangered traffic safety due to the damage to the paved outdoor facilities.
A sensitive handling of both museum operations and ongoing study operations in the adjacent parts of the building is imperative.
The total construction costs amount to approx. EUR 4.6 million gross.
Construction is scheduled to run from April 2022 to March 2024.
Object planning services for buildings in accordance with Part 3, Section 1 of HOAI 2013 for Building A and Clock Museum at the Furtwangen University, basic services in service phases 2-8 and special services in the area of "inventory documentation of area management".
