The city of Schleswig awards a contract for the operation of the tourist information office in Schleswig. The focus is on the provision of services in the field of tourism marketing for the city of Schleswig including the necessary advertising, press and public relations work as well as the information of tourists on site.
The aim of the tender is to market the city of Schleswig as a "historic cultural city in the World Heritage region at the Schlei Nature Park" in order to highlight Schleswig as a Viking city within the region, in coordination with the client.
Within the scope of the order, the following services are to be provided by the contractor:
1. Planungsfunktion
- Development of a strategic framework for action for coordination with the client for the further development of tourism in the city of Schleswig
- Tourist marketing of the city of Schleswig - coordinated with the client and the focus "Schleswig as a historical cultural city in the World Heritage region at the Schlei Nature Park" - to highlight the location of the city of Schleswig as a Viking city within the region
- Collaboration in the brand management of the city of Schleswig, taking into account tourism concerns
2. Advocacy function (e.g. by setting up working groups and creating newsletters)
- Specialist tourism advice for politics and administration
- Representation of the city of Schleswig in higher-level associations and societies after prior consultation with the client
- Market observation and informing local stakeholders about the development of tourism market conditions
- Cooperation including location and product development - a. with the city of Schleswig and its institutions; - b. with other tourism partners
- Internal communication and memberships - membership fees are paid by the client
3. Angebotsfunktion
- Ensuring the opening hours of the tourist information office, including ensuring telephone availability with additional regulations for major events
- Accommodation information and mediation classic and online, including further development of online marketing
- Creation and marketing of tourist products (souvenir shop) on own account with a focus on the city of Schleswig
- Ticket sales for local events, city tours, cultural centre, etc.
- Planning, conception or support of events in the city of Schleswig, if necessary in cooperation with local actors .dem such as city management or the cultural office, and the initiation of package deals and group offers
- Organization of city tours including qualification of city guides; Organization and arrangement of excursions and themed tours
- Tourism location and product development in cooperation with tourism partners or service providers in the city of Schleswig for the continuous development of the tourist offer with a stronger emphasis on culture
- Support of landlords in the city of Schleswig as well as the immediate surrounding area and participation in the classification of accommodation in terms of quality management
4. Marketingfunktion
- Strategic marketing planning for coordination with the client on the basis of the conceptual basis (see also planning function)
- Establishing/attaching a road and path map, handing out street and path directories to visitors and guests, e.g. in the form of a cultural city map. The technical maintenance of the tourist showcases remains with the city
- Creation of print marketing products, in particular free submission of street and path directories, brochures and printed matter on sights, events, public transport, accommodation in the city and the immediate surrounding area
- Support and further development of the city's tourist website in coordination with the city of Schleswig
- Regional and national press work, marketing measures and public relations work including social media with optimal involvement of local partners (e.g. Viking Days, NORDEN-Festival, Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater, Kulturhaus Auf der Freiheit and
other major events) as well as regional and national clubs, associations and cultural offices
- Implementation of the above-mentioned marketing measures and public relations work with the involvement of local partners
- Implementation of new creative measures for tourism promotion
The applicable minimum requirements for a tourist information recognized by the DTV must be met.
