General

On the site of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, a building is being built in a central location (CfP Ia-E), another is being renovated (CfP Ib-E) - both are research buildings with underground experiment halls.

Sanitary

CfP Ia-E is equipped with a drinking water house connection. From this, cold drinking water is distributed to the sink in both buildings. The connection to CfP Ib-E is made via an existing open terrace. A wastewater lifting plant and a submersible pump are installed in the basement.

Scope:

- 270 m SML pipe;

- 280 m stainless steel pipe, press connection;

- 1 pc waste water lifting system;

- 1 pc submersible pump;

- 5 sink basins;

- 2 instantaneous water heaters;

- 2 automatic rinsing devices.

Heating / cooling

In the CfP Ia-E a district heating transfer station for the supply of space heating surfaces and ventilation devices is installed. Tube material is black steel tube with welded connection. A district cooling transfer station will also be installed. Tube material is black steel tube with welded connection. Circulating air convectors and connections for cooling with process cooling water are provided in the basement. The process cooling water (demineralized water) is kept in a storage tank, cooled down by heat exchangers, distributed with high-pressure centrifugal pumps and guided via ion exchangers to maintain the conductivity. The demineralized water is provided / replenished from an existing system. The storage tank 6 m 3rd is set up on the upper floor. The process cooling water is managed as a semi-open system. All parts of the system that come into contact with the media and pipelines are made of stainless steel, welded up to DN 200.

Scope of heating services:

- 1 200 kW district heating station;

- 1 pc heating distributor;

- 5 heating pumps;

- 500 m steel tube black;

- 14 flat radiators;

- 1 pc air curtain;

- 2 pc ceiling air heaters;

- 2 single split systems.

Scope of services cold:

- 1 pc district cooling station 1,900 kW;

- 2 pcs. Cold distributors;

- 1 100 m black steel pipe (up to DN 200) with corrosion protection;

- 800 m stainless steel pipe (up to DN 200) TIG welded;

- 8 pcs of cold pumps;

- 13 air circulation convectors (up to 40 kW);

- 3 air circulation cooling units;

- 1 St. stainless steel tank, net capacity 6 m 3rd ;

- 1 pc ion exchange station with 4 pc single cartridges.

Compressed air

In CfP Ia-E, a new system is being built to supply both buildings with technical compressed air.

Scope of services compressed air:

- 2 compressed air generators with refrigeration dryer;

- pressed 600 m stainless steel pipe;

- 30 tapping points.

Firefighting equipment

Both buildings will be equipped separately with a fire extinguisher system.

Scope of services fire extinguishing system:

- 2 extinguishing water feeds;

- 8 dry connection tapping fittings;

- 220 m galvanized steel threaded pipe (up to DN 100);

- 8 hand fire extinguishers.

insulation

All pipes for heating, cooling and drinking water are insulated in the buildings. Process cooling water inside the building is not insulated. All cables are insulated weatherproof on the open terrace. Rainwater pipe in CfP Ib-E is also insulated.

Scope of services insulation:

- 280 m insulation MiWo on drinking water pipes stainless steel;

- 500 m insulation MiWo on heating pipes steel pipe;

- 1 100 m insulation of elastomer foam on refrigeration pipes steel pipe;

- 220 m sheet metal jacket on pipe insulation;

- 110 m weatherproof sheet metal jacket on pipe insulation.
