Removal of spruce raids and birch raids in the nature reserve “Sourge Lake” A detailed description of the item of the order includes Annex 1 to SWZ.

1. The object of the order is the removal of spruce raids and birch raids in the “Sourge Lake” nature reserve.

(a) The purpose of the planned conservation measures is to eliminate spruce, as an alien species habitatively and geographically, and to reduce birch succession by uprooting or excision thereof.

b) Individuals of spruce and birch up to 50 cm in height should be ripped out and left in place. Individuals of spruce and birch above 50 cm in height should be cut and moved outside the boundaries of the reserve in the area indicated by the Forest District of Kartuzy, and then disposed of in their own right.

The total area covered by the above activities is approximately 9.33 hectares.

3. The reserve “Lake Süzycowe” is located in Kartuzy County, in the municipality of Kartuzy, within the boundaries of the registration plots 3121, 3137, about 4.7 km west of Mirakhov. The reserve is located on Treasury land in the Kartuzy Forest District Board (Forestry Bącka Huta, wards 121, 137).
