The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock intends to create a permanent extension for the music grammar school “Käthe Kollwitz”.
The undeveloped property for the replacement new building borders the existing school directly to the west, residential development in the north and east, and a tram line to the south. The main entrance is oriented towards the main building of the school.
The replacement new building is intended to enable school operations in music production and band rehearsal rooms as well as house a foyer with a subsequent event hall. A canteen with outdoor seating options is also planned.
