West London Waste is conducting the procurement using an Open OJEU procedure for the purpose of appointing a contractor(s) for the provision of transport of mainly waste and associated services from sites within the WLWA area. The requirements are split into 2 lots:
— lot 1 – bulker services – which means the transporting of waste and recycling using the following vehicle types:
—— tractor units to transport up to 44 tons gross payload,
—— semi-trailers to transport with tractor unit (combined as an articulated vehicle) up to 44 tons gross payload,
— lot 2 – roll on roll off services (RoRo) — which means the transporting of waste and recycling using the following vehicle types:
—— rigid multi-axle vehicles for the services to pick up, transport and discharge waste contained within various open top and ISO containers on sled units (i.e. hook lift and RoRo type vehicles). A maximum of 1 rigid body tipping muck away type vehicle can be counted under this criterion.
