A new residential complex is to be built on the site of the former cemetery nursery on Heutingsweg. The project is designed as an independent quarter that has its own identity and high quality of stay. The construction project includes the construction of 6 new buildings. The structures of buildings 2-6 form the structural framework for a newly created, central quarter square.
Buildings 1 and 2 are special structures, 4-storey solid structures with a flat roof. Buildings 3-6 purely residential buildings, also as 4-storey solid buildings, but with a pitched roof and basement replacement rooms in the attic. All buildings are designed in accordance with the KfW 55 standard.
A day-care center for three groups will be located in building 1 on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a shared apartment for 6 students and three apartments. On the 2nd and 3rd floor there is a shared apartment for 11 residents with care needs.
In building 2, a “district center” is planned on the ground floor with a district office as a central point of contact, a café and a large multifunctional room. 9 apartments are located above it.
The heating center for all buildings is located in building 3; these are supplied with heat via a ring main. Otherwise, buildings 3-6 are purely residential.
A total of 81 residential units for around 200 residents will be created in the buildings. There are also 2 shared apartments for 11 people with care needs and one shared apartment for 6 people. Overall, the quarter should therefore offer living space for around 228 residents. All apartments are designed to be barrier-free in accordance with DIN 18040-2.
Four apartments are also designed for wheelchair access.
