In 2023, AZ Zeno has 3 campuses. In 2018, the new building of the main campus in Knokke was put into use, in 2021 the Maldegem campus moved to a brand new location where outpatient activity and medical imaging are offered. The renovation of the campus in Blankenberge will be completed in 2023.

The hospital has 327 licensed beds and employs 900 employees and 100 doctors.

The subject of the contract is "the development, implementation and maintenance of an electronic health record software" – hereinafter referred to as EHR software – with the following characteristics:

• There is already existing EHR software; consequently, data migration is an essential part of the assignment;

• the EHR software should facilitate and guarantee cooperation between hospitals;

• the EPD software must be (maximum) compatible and interoperable with the software programs that are not included in the subject of the assignment, but are used within AZ Zeno.

AZ Zeno wants a multidisciplinary electronic file in which all patient data is stored and made available to all actors in the care process in which the patient is central from the moment of admission to discharge. Via a portal, the file is extended to the pre- and post-hospital period in which the patient has access to his data and can share and supplement it.
