The Norwegian National Rail Administration has a fleet management system for railway vehicles and other rolling stock. The system a uses GPS tracing unit where the position is transferred via the GSM network to a central connection point in the Norwegian National Rail Administration.
The system shall be further expanded with GPS tracing units for small equipment, in order to provide the location and positions of other site equipment. It is a prerequisite that new units have the necessary shock protection for use on vibrating/hitting equipment.
The software shall be described in the tender and it must be able to be configured from the Norwegian National Rail Administration's operators as follows:
— Adjust time intervals for data sending;
— Adjust time intervals for data sampling;
— Have a function for Geo-fence and the accompanying alarms;
— Adjust the number of collections per sending;
— Adjust GPS time-out;
— Adjust time-out for sending.
The receiver/sender must be able to communicate via GSM (all band widths), possibly also other band widths.
Battery lifetime: Minimum 4 to 5 years;
Temperature area: -40 C / +60;
IP degree: Minimum IP 67;
Precision of position: Less than 10 metres;
The aerial must be built-in.
Possible to retrieve units via triangulation with hand-held equipment.
The receiver/sender must be able to communicate via GSM (all band widths), possibly also other band widths.
The unit shall be easy to maintain — including replacing worn parts.
Option:
Assembly on-site equipment that can be hitting and/or vibrating, the units are required to be assembled in such a way that they can tolerate this.
