Birkenes kommune [Birkenes Municipality] will build a new treatment plant at Birkeland. The plant will be dimensioned for 6,000 pe. The plant will be built on the same site as the existing treatment plant. After the new plant is completed, the old plant will be demolished. The plant will be built in a flood-prone area.

The contract work includes execution of Contract E61 Turnkey contract process, electrical and HVAC and Sanitation.

The contract primarily concerns the following installations:

• Process equipment/technical purification equipment

• Pipes, pumps, valves, instrumentation etc.

• Process electrical (distributions, frequency converters, guideways, cabling etc.)

• Ventilation (air handling unit, channels etc.)

• Odour reduction plant for the process section

• Heat pump

• Necessary sanitary installations for the entire treatment plant

The contract also includes all engineering design for what is included in the contract, as well as necessary cross-discipline engineering design with Contract E21 Construction and groundwork.
