Awarding of HLS - specialist planning services §§ 53 ff. HOAI 2013 according to §§ 73-80 VgV for the conversion, extension and new construction of the Schiller School in Ettlingen. A stepwise commissioning of phases 1-3 is intended.

The Schiller School, consisting of a main building, 2 pavilions and a sports hall, is located on the edge of the old town of Ettlingen. On the school grounds there is also a "children's villa", which houses the core time care and the hoard. Furthermore, the school has a large schoolyard. Currently, the school community consists of about 500 students and 40 teachers, 7 educators, and a school social worker.

For the exact definition of requirements, a requirements planning was carried out in 2017, which was based on the 2018 architectural competition. The competition result is enclosed with the tender documents. The variant B adopted by the municipal council provides for the following measures:

- renovation main building,

- demolition and new construction interim building instead of the break room (includes, among others, refectory including teaching kitchen, class and specialist rooms and storage areas) and sports hall (Einfeldhalle):

- New barrier-free development between the main building and the annex, with which both structures are accessible barrier-free In addition to the municipal council decision, the city of Ettlingen in 2018 an application for granting a state subsidy for the renovation of school buildings. The exact scope of remediation is currently being determined by the contracted architect's office.

Since the eligible measures have to start as of 1 April 2020, to be accepted by 31.12.2022 at the latest and have to be fully accounted for by the end of 2023, these measures will be started ahead of time after all specialist planning has been commissioned.

Due to the inner-city situation, the logistical situation of the construction site has to be considered.

An initial rough cost estimate for the KGr 300 + 400 has shown the following values:

- Renovation main building gross approx. 900 000 EUR,

- New building instead of the break room gross approx. 3 500.00 EUR,

- Barrier-free development gross approx. EUR 500 000,

- New construction of the sports hall gross approx. 1 900 000 EUR The subject of the planning contract is the rebuilding, extension and new construction of the Schillerschule Ettlingen.
