Electrical Rewires (2017-2020) — PROC17013.

South Derbyshire District Council are seeking to appoint a principal contractor to undertake electrical rewires with associated minor repairs, mainly to occupied and void domestic properties within South Derbyshire.

The contract shall be for a 3-year period with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years. The commencement date is expected to be 1 October 2017.

Current budgets anticipate between 125 and 150 rewires per financial year, which are subject to annual budgets and approvals.

Contract period from 1 November 2017 – 31 October 2020 with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years, subject to funding and performance.

It is anticipated that we will require 60 rewires to 31 March 2018, then between 125 and 150 per annum, subject to submitted rates, actual rewire requirements to individual properties, available budget and performance.

All property numbers and available budgets are subject to continual review and guarantees against reduced or increased numbers cannot be given at anytime before or during the contract period.

Continuation of the contract, and any extensions, will be based upon satisfactory performance, customer satisfaction (KPI’s), available budget and negotiation of rates.
