The Authority is required to procure 6x Anritsu's Spectrum Analysers (NSN 6625-99-257-4132) at MATCON A1 with the option to purchase additional units. The Anritsu Spectrum Analyser is required to assess the RF Spectrum in an area and provide the user with a greater knowledge of the Radio Frequency (RF) frequencies being utilised in the area. It must also identify if any RF frequencies have been blocked.

The Authority requires the Anritsu spectrum analyser specifically, as the UK MOD is working with a foreign government to deliver the same capability. The capabilities must be interchangeable, as they may be deployed as a UK-led Joint EOD Task Force. Alternative spectrum analysers could not ensure operational and technical interoperability and therefore the stated NSN must be procured to minimise the through life Integrated Logistics Support requirement.

All items within scope are codified to NATO stock numbers (NSNs). Items must be supplied compliant to the NSN.
