The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (hereinafter ”STM”) and Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (hereinafter "THL" or “Customer” ) requested tenders for Pneumococcal Vaccines for risk groups belonging to the National Vaccination Programme in Finland.

The purpose of STM and the Customer was to procure Pneumococcal Vaccines for risk groups required for the National Vaccination Programme in Finland. The tendered vaccine must be suitable for patients 74-year-old and under according to vaccine's Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC). Target group for risk group vaccinations is patients under 75-year-old with severe chronic disease (for example kidney disease or severe lung disease). Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare reserves the right to change and update the definition of risk groups when needed.
