Description:

Training device combat simulator armored troops LEOPARD 2 A5/A6 (AGPT) - adaptation to the K-stand LEOPARD 2 A7V

training device combat simulator armored troops LEOPARD 2 A5/A6 (AGPT) -

Adaptation to the K-stand LEOPARD 2 A7V

Since the beginning of the 1990s, the training simulator "Training Device Combat Simulator Armored Troops LEOPARD 2" (AGPT LEOPARD 2) with associated training generation station (ÜbGen AGPT) has been used in the armored troops for combat training at platoon and company level.

In the years 2008 to 2012, the training simulator was adapted from the original design state (K-stand) LEOPARD 2 A4 to that of the then current weapon system LEOPARD 2 A5/A6. A total of 6 AGPT LEOPARD 2 A5/A6 are used in the Bundeswehr. An AGPT consists of 4 Leopard 2 MBT combat space simulators and 1 line/evaluation and control station (LAKS).

In a combat compartment simulator, a full tank crew (commander, gunner, loader and military driver) can be trained at the same time. The LAKS currently offers space for a maximum of 2 trainers and 6 trainees.

In order to carry out a modern, future-oriented training adapted to today's operational requirements, all 6 AGPT LEOPARD 2 A5/A6 introduced in the Bundeswehr as well as the associated ÜbGen AGPT are now to be adapted to the K-stand of the LEOPARD 2 A7V weapon system.

The service to be awarded includes, in particular, the adaptation of the operator positions for the commander, the gunner, the loader and the military driver to the K-stand of the LEOPARD 2 A7V weapon system by scaffolding the fighting compartment simulator in the existing containers with replicas or original tank parts that are as accurate as possible.

In addition, the ÜbGen AGPT, which is used in particular for the creation of exercises and statistical evaluation, must also be adapted with regard to hardware and software in the existing premises.

In addition, the existing LAKS is also to be replaced by a new, larger LAKS adapted to the range of tasks with space for 4 trainers and 16 trainees, which includes the renewal of the hardware and software as well as the scaffolding of the LAKS in new containers.

A framework agreement with a term of seven years - starting in the fourth quarter of 2024 and ending in the fourth quarter of 2031 - with a fixed commission component and a variable component is to be concluded with a company.

In a first step, the conversion of a first series device together with the ÜbGen AGPT and the associated documents and instructions is to be firmly commissioned. It should be possible to order the conversion of the 2nd-6th series devices variably as a framework contract call-off.
