The Institute for Transuranium Elements (ITU) intends to construct a separate laboratory and warehouse building on its site as a nuclear installation for handling radioactive substances, authorised in accordance with paragraph 9 of the Atomic Energy Act (Atomgesetz) in conjunction with paragraph 7 of the Radiation Protection Regulation (Strahlenschutzverordnung).
A suitable general contractor is sought for production planning (which partially involves the drafting of pre-inspection documents for experts to carry out preliminary testing), the production with associated inspections conducted by experts, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning (including functional and acceptance tests, also with the involvement of experts) of plant security technology, as well as the preparation of final documentation.
The contract will be in 9 parts:
— heading 1 — physical protection grille and physical security doors,
— heading 2 — expansion of the iris recognition system and related door interlock control via the incorporation of interlocks in M Wing,
— heading 3 — renovation and expansion of the ITU's alarm system,
— heading 4 — renovation and expansion of the ITU's video surveillance system,
— heading 5 — renovation and expansion of the ITU's danger management system,
— heading 6 — physical protection centre installations,
— heading 7 — renovation and expansion of the ITU's electronic access control system,
— heading 8 — renovation of the central technology of outdoor enclosure detection systems,
— heading 9 — replacement of the PPS radio system by a guard patrol system.
